EMBERGUARDWHERE DIRECTIVE ONE BEGAN
Emberguard did not stay in one world. It began in Star Citizen, expanded into games like World of Warcraft and The Division 2, and proved that the identity of a community could travel with its people.
BUILT IN THE VERSE
Emberguard began inside Star Citizen as an organized community built around playing together with purpose. Founded by Vanvord and Doom17D, it brought military operations, industrial gameplay, events, leadership, and a growing group of players under one banner. As it matured, trusted leaders including MrJADsWorth and Auryson became important parts of the community's continuity—helping carry its culture, events, and identity forward. But the most important part came next: Emberguard began following its people into other games.
EMBERGUARD STARTED MOVING.
The turning point was not a meeting or a rebrand. It happened naturally: the same people kept finding each other in different games. Select a world to recover what it taught us.
THE PEOPLE WHO HELPED CARRY IT.
Emberguard was never built by one person alone. Its identity survived because people stepped forward to lead, organize, host, and protect the culture that had formed around it.
VANVORD
Co-founder and driving force behind Emberguard's military, community, and long-term identity.
DOOM17D
Co-founder whose industrial focus helped shape Emberguard's early balance between organization, operations, and progression.
MRJADSWORTH
One of Emberguard's most trusted leaders, helping maintain continuity, leadership, and the culture that allowed the community to keep moving forward.
AURYSON
One of Emberguard's most trusted leaders, helping strengthen the community and preserve the identity that would later feed into Directive One.
WHAT EMBERGUARD MEANS.
The name became bigger than the game it started in. Move across the two archive fragments to reveal the idea behind it.
THE EMBER
A spark that remains after the fire fades. Something that survives, can be carried forward, and can ignite again in a new place.
THE GUARD
The people who protect what matters: the community, its culture, the memories built together, and the people standing beside them.
THE THINGS THAT STAYED.
Hover over the recovered records. These were the pieces that survived beyond any single game.
OPERATIONS
ORGANIZATION CREATES MOMENTUM.
Emberguard learned that structure matters. A coordinated operation turns a group of players into a team—and a team creates moments people remember.
EVENTS
EXPERIENCES BECOME STORIES.
The best community memories rarely come from menus or progression bars. They come from the nights people still talk about weeks, months, or years later.
LEADERSHIP
COMMUNITIES NEED PEOPLE WHO BUILD.
Leadership was never just a title. Emberguard lasted because people hosted, organized, welcomed, solved problems, and kept the community moving forward.
FRIENDSHIPS
THIS WAS THE PART THAT SURVIVED.
Ships changed. Games changed. Servers changed. The relationships did not. That realization became one of the clearest foundations of Directive One.
THE GAME WAS NEVER
THE FOUNDATION.
Star Citizen started it. World of Warcraft, The Division 2, and the games that followed proved it. Emberguard worked because people wanted to keep playing together. The game changed. The community kept moving.
FROM ONE WORLD TO MANY.
This was not a rebrand. It was a realization. Advance the sequence to see how Emberguard became the foundation for something larger.
EMBERGUARD TODAY.
Emberguard still lives inside Directive One. Star Citizen remains its original home, while World of Warcraft and other games became part of its wider story. More importantly, Emberguard became the proof that a community identity could cross worlds—and that lesson became the foundation of Directive One.
